On 15 August 1769, Napoleon Bonaparte was born in Ajaccio, Corsica. He rose to be one of the most famous commanders in history, both celebrated and controversial. Few people had more influence on the modern world in so many respects: from warfare, to politics, to law, to the educational system. It is hard to bring a nice anecdote about someone so famous. Yet we try! For example did you know he disliked animals? Or that he was addicted to Eau the Cologne? Allegedly he used up to one bottle a day and ordered large amounts of it on a monthly basis.
What can we add about Napoleon?
